5 things to do in march

S-a spart gheata si au rasarit ghioceii. Cam brusc as spune, dar nu ma plang. Mai putin glamuroasa este partea cu carosabilul din Bucuresti si periferii, in rest, decent. Chiar daca februarie-martie sunt niste luni de tranzit, au si ele frumusetea lor si anume ca iti dau speranta, ca vara si vacantele si sunt tot mai aproape… De aceea am zis sa punctez cateva aspecte pe care ar trebui sa le luam in considerare la inceput de primavara, ca sa ne facem viata mai  frumoasa, sanatoasa si colorata :

  • Incepe sa faci miscare. Gata cu leneveala, acum chiar ca nu mai ai nici-o scuza! Eu deja de 2 luni frecventez un centru de sport si pe langa fitness, mai alternez si cu ore de pilates, TRX si circuit training, asa nu ma plictisesc si plec plina de energie de fiecare data. Ma gandesc serios sa imi iau si bicicleta, iar cand se mai incalzeste, sa ies prin parcuri cu ea 🙂
  • De asemenea va marturisesc ca  deja de ceva vreme nu prea am mai mancat carne. Brusc, nu am mai avut pofta, pur si simplu. In schimb compensez cu peste si fructe de mare. Plus multe salate, cruditati si fructe. Nu va recomand insa curele de detox  bazate doar pe sucuri de fructe sau orice alte diete minune. Sunt foarte dure pentru organism si nu fac decat sa ii dea peste cap mecanismul. Totul trebuie sa fie echilibrat  si sa nu fie fortat.  Eu de exemplu o data pe saptamana imi mai fac de cap cu cate o portie imensa de cartofi prajiti, cu ou si branza deasupra ! Old habits die hard 🙂
  • Incepeti sa va organizati vacantele pe anul in curs. Eu mi-am revizuit bugetul si incerc sa imi planific de pe acum vacanta de vara, caut destinatii noi si fac de pe acum rezervarile. Pentru ca e mult mai stresant sa le faci pe ultima suta de metri, unde mai pui ca din timp poti beneficia de preturi mai bune. Si da, mi-am stabilit minim 5 destinatii pe an.
  • Curatenia de primavara in casa este esentiala. Aruncati lucruri de care nu mai aveti nevoie sau donati-le, casa trebuie sa fie aerisita si nu ticsita de lucruri inutile. O sa descoperiti astfel cate lucruri aveti si pe care nu le-ati folosit sau purtat niciodata…Iar cu dressing-ul e la fel : mai bine cateva piese bazice clasice, de calitate, decat o suta de chestii ciudate luate la impuls care nici macar nu ne reprezinta.
  • Incepeti un Do It Yourself Project. Fie ca sunteti pasionat de gradinarit sau orice altceva, dedicati o duminica acestei pasiuni. Pe mine gradinaritul ma relaxeaza intr-un mod tare ciudat, la fel si curatenia. Desi numai relaxare nu e, satisfactia lucrului bine facut nu se compana cu nimic! Mai ales ca abia astept sa imi petrec cat mai mult timp in curte, in aer liber, alaturi de prieteni si un gratar bun.
  • Primavara este momentul ideal sa te indragostesti! De el, de ea, de tine ! Mai tineti minte plimbarile din parc sub clar de luna? That’s fucking romantic!

The ice has been broken and snowdrops sprouted. Rather abruptly, I would say, but I’m not complaining. The part about the roadways in Bucharest and the suburbs is less glamorous, but otherwise it’s decent. Even if February-March are transition months, they also have their beauty, namely they give us hope that summer and holidays are closer and closer… Therefore, I thought I should point out a few things that we should consider at the beginning of spring to make our lives more beautiful, healthy and colorful:

  • Start working out. No more laziness, now you really have no excuse! For the past 2 months I have been going to a sports center, where besides fitness I also do pilates, TRX and circuit training, so I’m not getting bored and I leave full of energy every time. I am seriously thinking about also getting a bike and riding it in the park when it gets warmer. 🙂
  • I also confess that for a while already I haven’t really eaten meat. Suddenly, I did not crave it, just like that. I compensate with fish and seafood instead. Plus a lot of salads, vegetables and fruit. However, I don’t recommend detox diets that are only based on fruit juices or any other miracle diet. They are very hard on the body and they only mess up its mechanism. Everything has to be balanced and not forced. For example, once a week I go crazy with one huge serving of fries, topped with egg and cheese! Old habits die hard. 🙂
  • Start planning your vacations for the year. I revised my budget and I already started to plan my summer vacation, I am looking for new destinations and booking places. Because it’s more stressful to do it at the last minute, and also because you can get better prices if you book early. And yes, I am determined to visit at least 5 destinations per year.
  • Home spring cleaning is essential. Throw away or donate things you no longer need, the house has to be tidy and not packed with unnecessary things. This way you’ll discover how many thing you have that you’ve never used or worn… And same goes for the dressing: it’s better to have a few basic, classic, quality pieces than a hundred weird things that you’ve bought impulsively and don’t even represent you.
  • Start a Do-It-Yourself project. Whether you are passionate about gardening or whatever, dedicate a Sunday to this. Gardening relaxes me in a strange way, and so does cleaning. Even though it’s not really relaxation, nothing compares to a job well done! Especially since I look forward to spending more time in my yard, outdoors, with friends and a good barbeque.
  • Spring is the ideal time to fall in love! With him, with her, with you! Remember the walks in the park under the moonlight? That’s fucking romantic!
